Terms and Conditions

Before you proceed with your booking and payment, please carefully review the following terms and conditions, as they outline the agreements and guidelines you must adhere to when booking services with me.

By confirming your appointment and making any payments, you automatically agree to abide by the terms and conditions outlined below.

Deposits:

Brides:

  • Wedding date: a deposit of £50 per service (makeup only or hair only) plus an additional £20 per bridal party member is required to secure your wedding date in my diary.
  • Trials: a deposit of £50 is required to secure your preferred trial date in my diary.

The final balance is due 30 days prior to your wedding day.

Please do not transfer any remaining balance before its due date that will be stated in your booking schedule, unless we have agreed upon an alternative arrangement.

I do not offer payment schedules.

Occasion & Prom Hair and/or Makeup Services:

  • A deposit of £20 per service (makeup only or hair only) is required to secure your date in my diary. The remaining balance due at your appointment (not after).

Your booking will only be confirmed in my diary upon receipt of the deposit. Once I have received your deposit, I will send confirmation of your booking.

All deposits will be deducted from your final balance.

Cancellation Policy:

All deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. If you need to reschedule your booking, a new deposit is required to secure your new appointment in my diary.

I reserve the right to cancel the agreement if the terms of this contract are not met, rendering the contract void. In such cases, any payments made to date are non-refundable.

In the unlikely event that I would need to cancel your booking due to unforeseen circumstances or illness, I will provide you with as much notice as possible. I will attempt to find a replacement hair stylist or makeup artist whose skills and style match mine and I will provide them with all necessary information to recreate your look on your big day. If I am unable to find a replacement and you’ve already paid the remaining balance, I will refund you excluding the deposit and trial fee.

I cannot be held responsible for unforeseen delays resulting from circumstances beyond my control, such as weather conditions or acts of nature. If you have any travel advice or information that may help my reach you, please communicate it as soon as possible. Refunds will not be provided in such situations.

For cancellations of individual services after your initial wedding booking, I require notice no less than 6 months prior to your wedding date. Cancellations within the 6 months leading up to your wedding will not result in a reduction of the overall booking cost.

Trials:

One bridal trial is mandatory with your wedding booking. If you require additional trials to experiment with different looks, the cost of the most current and up-to-date trial will apply.

Before your trial appointment, please send me photos of yourself and anyone else receiving services, showing how you normally wear your hair and makeup so I can see the levels you are comfortable with. Feel free to also share any inspirational photos if you have a specific vision in mind.

Communication:

To ensure efficient communication, please use a single method of contact once your booking is confirmed, either via email or WhatsApp. Please always include your wedding date and full name in the email subject line.

I strive to respond to your messages within 48 hours, though during busy periods, response times may be slightly longer.

Additional Services:

If you wish to add additional services or individuals to your booking, availability may be limited due to time constraints. We will accommodate your requests if possible but it is not a guarantee.

Payments & Pricing:

The person making the booking is responsible for all payments.

I accept payments via bank transfer or cash.

I do not accept payments by cheque or PayPal.

Please screenshot and forward proof of payments made, as well as notify me of any funds transferred. Payments via bank transfer should be referenced with your booking name and wedding or booking date.

For Occasion/Prom Hair and Makeup services, the remaining balance is due at your appointment, payable in cash or via bank transfer. Please provide confirmation of payment during your appointment.

The final balance for wedding bookings is due 30 days before your wedding day. I do not offer payment schedules, and I kindly request that you refrain from transferring any remaining funds before the due date that will be set out in your schedule. Failure to adhere to this policy may result in additional late fees being added to the final balance.

Irrespective of whether members of your bridal party are covering the costs of their individual services, the payment arrangement applies to the entire booking. You, as the booking client, are responsible for making the payments as outlined in the booking confirmation. Managing separate/individual payments among your bridal party, friends, or family is your responsibility and nothing to do with me.

If you decide to add to your booking, the rate for amendments will be based on the current rates at the time of the changes, not the rates at the time of the original booking.

Please note that my prices are subject to change annually, and you can find my current prices on my website.

Travel, Location, and Additional Fees:

Additional travel fees may apply as follows:

  • The cost travel is calculated at a rate of 0.55 pence for every mile travelled.
  • If travel time exceeds a total of 1 hour (round trip), an additional fee of £30 per hour will be added to cover my time.
  • A split venue fee of £30 will be incurred if you need to relocate during your appointment.
  • Depending on the size of your bridal party and the services required, I may need to bring an assistant to ensure a smooth and timely delivery of services. The cost of an assisting artist is £30 per artist.
  • An early start fee of £20 per hour per artist applies for services required before 8 am.
  • An additional charge of £75 per artist will be added for weddings booked between Christmas Eve and New Year’s Day.
  • All other expenses, such as parking charges, tolls, congestion charges, and any additional fees, are the responsibility of the booking client.
  • In cases where an overnight stay is required due to the distance of your venue and the need for early services, the cost of the overnight stay will be responsibility of the booking client. Please discuss this with me in detail before making any arrangements.

If your venue is located off main roads, in a rural area, or is difficult to find, please provide clear directions and instructions to help me locate it/you. Inadequate reception for mobile phones is common in rural areas, so clear instructions are vital to avoid lateness.

If you anticipate that the reception area may be closed or unmanned when I/we arrive, please provide clear guidance on where to go, including room numbers, floors, etc.

Assistance such as a lift is appreciated when transporting our equipment.

Consider the start and finish times you need to work towards, taking into account any restrictions imposed by the venue of external suppliers being able to access to the preparation suite. Communicate all relevant details to me so I can help plan the schedule and, if necessary, develop a contingency plan.

Destination Weddings:

For destination weddings, where I  am required to travel to another country, the booking client is responsible for covering the costs of return flights, transfers, accommodation, transportation, insurance, and any other associated expenses. Please provide confirmation of these arrangements to me in advance.

Working Environment and Client Obligations:

Please consider the following for your hair and makeup preparations at your venue:

  • Due to extremely heavy kits, it is helpful if there is a lift for me/us to access higher floors/levels.
  • Provide a designated area where I/we can set up, preferably in a quiet/low traffic area.
  • Ensure there is a table with sufficient surface area and space to accommodate my/our equipment.
  • Access to water and handwashing facilities is necessary.
  • Adherence to the suggested timeline/schedule is crucial for a smooth-running process.
  • Make sure everyone has read and adheres to the preparation advice provided to avoid delays.
  • Maintain respectful of your suppliers; rude, intimidating, aggressive, or abusive behaviour will not be tolerated, and I/we reserve the right to refuse service without a refund.
  • Inform me/us of any allergies and relevant medical conditions at the time of booking.
  • Ensure there is access to an electrical point for my lighting and electrical appliances.
  • Consider natural lighting for the best results during makeup application.
  • If pets are present, ensure they are kept away from my/our kit to prevent contamination.
  • Children, friends, and family should avoid touching, opening, or using our products due to hygiene reasons. Any damage or contamination resulting from such actions will incur charges to the booking client.

Illness, Allergies, and Transparency:

It is 100% your responsibility to inform me of any allergies, past or present, as well as any other relevant information, such as illnesses or disabilities that may affect the application of products to your skin and hair. By booking services with me, you agree to release me from any liability for complications, allergic reactions, injuries, damages, costs, or claims related to you or anyone else receiving services within your booking.

I maintain a high level of cleanliness, I have a sterile and hygienic kit, using disposable applicators and working off palettes. I use individual sets of sterilised makeup brushes for each client to avoid cross-contamination and remove risk of infection to ensure everyone’s safety. Therefore, please ensure that pets and animals are kept away from my kit. Additionally, children, friends, and family must refrain from touching, opening, or using my products. Damaged or contaminated items will incur charges to the booking client.

I reserve the right to refuse services if i suspect a client exhibits contagious conditions, including but not limited to flu-like symptoms, coughing, a fever, conjunctivitis, eye infections, styes, cold sores, open wounds, fungal infections, severe acne, burns, eczema, psoriasis, head lice, scabies, and others.

In the unlikely event that I/we feel threatened or uncomfortable due to unacceptable behaviour, I/we have the right to terminate services immediately without a refund.

Photography, Videography, and Social Media:

Brides: I will take photos and videos of your hair and makeup before, during and after your trial. This is done for reference when recreating your look on your wedding day.

Before-and-after photos will be shared on my social media platforms and website, as these real-life examples are valuable for future brides, after all its what brought you to me. If you are uncomfortable with your photos being shared, please inform me during our initial meeting.

At times, I may use these photos for flyers, leaflets, or digital posts. If photos/videos are taken of my work or of me “in action” when doing hair and makeup; please share these with me, tag me, and credit me when sharing on social media.

Data Protection:

I value your privacy, and your personal details will not be sold, shared, or provided to anyone.

By proceeding with your booking and payment, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these terms and conditions and agree to comply with them. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me before confirming your appointment and payment.

Thank you for choosing me for your hair and/or makeup services.
